can i have Alaskan malamute in apartment?

i want to have exactly that dog but i don't have a yard. will it be bad for him to live inside? even if i take him outside very often for running, hiking, etc..???

Your first problem would be the heat. They hate being warm so in winter don't expect to be able to turn the heating up.
Also they need constant exercise, not just when you can supply it. Ideally they need a garden to play in, it would also help with toilet training.
Its not a breed id recommend for an apartment, they need a lot of space.
We were worried that our garden might not be big enough so were putting high fences all the way round the front of the house so our Mal can have the run of as much space we can provide him with.
