You might as well give the bird to someone who wants the bird, because he will be dead when you get back after a month.

This is not a good thing, surely you can find a friend who can watch your baby for you...

Please don't do this to the poor bird. It will surely die. And die alone feeling abandoned.

Budgies are sociable pets and need company. It's not wise to leave him alone at home even if you leave enough food. Water won't last a month. It will be either dried out or undrinkable after a few days. It's in a cage and it's small. I am sure you can find someone to care for it while away.

It is NOT a good idea to do that, especially since you dont have another budgie for him to play with. You should get someone that knows how to take care of your bird to feed, water, and check up on him. Maybe even talk to him for a few minutes. They need fresh water EVERYDAY! Hope this helps! Email me if you have anymore questions.

Simple answer Yes you can - However don't expect it to be alive or healthy when you get back .....

Are you able to get a bird sitter or a friend that can watch the bird?
There are Bird Boarding places that can be a last resort?
