| Can pet turtles, I believe called red eared turtles, the small like turtles bought from pet shops, live with red bellied newts? I know red bellied newts need cold temperature throughout so I always keep my room really cold. I want to get a small turtle and have them share a cage, but I don't know if the turtle needs cold water, and cold temperature. I have a pretty big tank, about twenty gallons, and the size should be sufficient but I need to know if they can share a cage due to the cold temperature. Thank you. |

| No turtles need warm water and a heat light other wise they wont survive. Depending on what kind of turtle the water schould be from 20 to 28 degrees. And those little turtles can get 30cm so they probably will eat your red bellied newts or bite of his legs and tail. So not a good idea! |
