This past Christmas, my girlfreind gave me a Chihuahua, he's now 6 moths old, I named him Eddie, after the late Eddie Guerrero, (He even responds to the chant of : "Eddie, Eddie") Recently, my GF told me that I can train him to use the litterbox, is this true?

Yes, dogs can be litter trained. Its just a matter of teaching them that it is their bathroom spot. My mother once trained an Alaskin Malemute to use a litter box--needless to say it was a HUGE box. lol That dog didn't go anywhere but in that litter box. He wouldn't even go outside. He would hold it until he got home to the litter box. Only reason why my mother did this is because at the time she was living in an apartment on the top floor and wasn't going to put up with poop on the floors.

You can but i wouldn't unless you HAVE to, although it is your choice. Dogs don't cover it like cats so it stinks the place up pretty good and many dogs have trouble differentiating between the small box and the rest of the room.
