My Chihuahua puppy sheds like crazy, please help?

I have a 7 month old Chihuahua/Dachshund (short hair) mix who sheds like crazy. He will fill a swiffer within a day. I used the Furminator on him but it did nothing. Yet if you pinch his skin a pull lightly a bunch of hair will fall out. He is not neutered could this be the problem? Is anyone with this breed suffering the same dilema?

I'm not sure about Dachshunds, but I do know that short-haired Chihuahuas shed like crazy.
Short-haired Chihuahuas shed more than long-haired Chiahuahuas do
I would suggest brushing your dog frequently--once every 2 or 3 days, or if really needed every day.
All dogs shed, this shouldn't be a surprise, some just shed more than others and it is normal--nothing is wrong with it unless it has patches of missing fur--if this is the case it could be mange and needs to be seen by a vet.
