my Chihuahua mum just gave birth and snaps at the puppies sometime?

my dog just gave birth today and she seam fine birth when great 3 puppies but ever now and then she will snappy at them when they cry but when i asure her she is fine is it because she is new to this as its her first time can anyone guid me to what to do ....cheers

back off and leave them in a quiet room. if she keeps snapping you need to call the vet. you may end up having to hand feed the pups yourself. hard to say what the situation is like there. sounds like some obedience training is in order once she is able to do that. would be good to get the pups trained when they are weaned. spaying an nutering will also help attitude problems quite a bit. best wishes!!

Please be patient and rest assured that she will NOT harm her puppies...She's probably just stressed out and to be quite honest the stress ""may"" be from you hovering over her...

Please leave her be as much as you can for a while and mother nature will take it's course.. :-)
