is my chinchilla drinking enough?

| Well chinchillas don't actually drink very much. They can go days without so much as touching their water bottle, so I wouldn't be too worried about it. Give your chin a couple days, and start marking off the water line with tape, or a marker. If your chin still hasn't in a week, then I would start to worry. Also, chins take a lot of time to readjust. They need to get used tot he sights and smells before they can get comfortable. Chins are also usually only really active at night since they're nocturnal, so she could be drinking (they don't drink very much) but you jsut haven't noticed. Hope this helps, and really try the marking thing. |
