why is my chinchilla biting his fur/paws ?

| he is also losing his fur. this is in places he can not reach. like his forehead area i guess you could say.. also right below his arms, like around his stomach i guess.. it looks like his fur is wet or sweaty. it could be oil but i bath him pretty often. i also have another chinchilla so maybe they are fighting? not sure, every time i go out to see them they are just fine. but im not sure.. help? |

| It could be a number of things. ring worm. Mites. lice. fleas. And when u say bathing are u washing them with water? Chinchillas don't take baths like a dog or cat. Rather they take dusts baths. So if your bathing them in water you could be damaging their coat. Either one of these problems you need to see the vets PRONTO! |
