cockatiel..molting?

 cockatiel..molting? i think my cockatiel is crazy or molting. it is losing a lot of feathers, but not big feathers, mainly little tiny feathers that look like pencil eraser shavings, dandruff and little feathers. When i blow my cockatiel, a swarm of these fly up in the air. is it molting? should i visit the vet? is the natural this time of the year or what??? cockatiel is a male and is 8 years old.      |
