Puppy food, and then Puppy milk (powered) mixed with baby rice cereal this is better then vitamins. Also take the dog to the vet it could be as easy as de worming the little guy.

For now, feed a high quality food and water. Make sure he has plenty of water because he may be dehydrated.

Dont allow him to over-eat, as it may cause bloat. Feed him small, frequent meals at first. Overall, his daily rations should be slightly more than the daily reccommended amount for his ideal size and age... just split it up to multuple meals.

If he is having diareah or loose stools, then put him on a bland diet until you can talk to the vet.. dehydration is the first thing you want to take care of. A dog will become more dehydrated if he is having diareah. A bland diet would consist of boiled rice. Adding some canned pumpkin can help too. (not the pie filling).

At the vet, make sure you rule out parasites. If you find that he continues to have trouble putting on weight, or is developing symptoms of illness (hairloss, fatigue, etc) then you may want to rule out thyroid problems.

steam some rice and boil some hamburger meat (mix)and you can offer that to the pup. that's what you give a dog that's sick to its tummy because its easier to hold down. being not fed, your pup may have a hard time keeping food down at first. you don't want to give him anything that might give him bathroom troubles because you said that hes already malnourished. also you can boil some chicken liver. it ll boost his protein level

There is a product called nutracal that you many be able to get at Petco or Petsmart. It is very high in calories and a small amount every few hours will give him easy to digest nutrients that he needs. The canned dog food every few hours is also a very good idea. Mix it with a little warm water so the puppy is hydrated.

You should also contact your local shelter, check for a microchip and report him as a found dog. He could be a lost dog who has been on his own for several weeks and has a heart broken family looking for him.

Food, water, and lots of love and attention. Showing him love will make him want to eat.
