Default I don't want my fish to die, what do I do?

With Hurricane Ike churning possibly right at me, I may have to evacuate. Problem is, my fish will be left behind, more likely than not without power. I don't know how long I'd be gone, but I'd like for my fish to be able to eat. What is the best way for them to get fed if I leave? The power would most likely be down, so a plug in automatic feeder wouldn't work. I also don't know too much about the food blocks, though I've heard a few times that they dirty up the tank too much.

My daily tank foods:
5 Gallon: Six betta pellets daily ( 3 2X a day)
A half an algae wafer
10 Gallon: A pinch of tropical flakes (2X a day)

What can I do to be sure that all of my fish will live?
