Do pet rabbits prefer the room dark or lit?

 Do pet rabbits prefer the room dark or lit? My bunny is alone in his cage when I spend the weekend/night out at my parents' house. Should I keep the light on or off for him? I don't know if he gets scared or would feel more comfortable with it on. Any thoughts?      |
