Default On Dogs 101 they said that the poodle is the only type of dog with 3 breeds?

But, what about the schnauzer? As far as I'm aware there is giant, standard and miniature.

Did they get it wrong, or am I missing something?

No you are right!
The poodle and schnauzer are the only dog that has 3 breeds in their group.

Just wanted to add to the answer regarding australian shepherds - Aussies come in ONE size only.

Dachshunds come in severeral varities - longharied, shorthaired, wirehaired, and in mini.

Yes, Poodles come in 3 sizes: Toy, Mini, and Standard.

THe Schnauzer sizes are actually distinct breeds, and each one has a distinct standard by the AKC. Poodles all use the same standard, except for size.
