Default Snakes as pets?

Who thinks that i should get a hog island boa as a pet, i know they are expensive (very) but sure anyway they are very nice snakes. Im fairly sure i want to get it but cant make up my mind 100 percent. It will be kept in my bedroom so one thing im afraid of is it being smelly or something is this true. Is this a good choice of pet to get. I also have a cat so i want her to be safe aswell.

Clean spot the tank after every time they do go to the bathroom, and once a month really disenfect the tank. I started with a cornsnake personally, they dont get more then 4 ft house easily in a 20 gallon tank. Food cost $50 a year, but I bred my own feeders, now mice stink!

If it's going to be kept in your bedroom, I'm betting that you're a kid....right? In your previous post, you said that you had concerns about becoming bored with it. Please take note of what I said...taking on the responsibility of caring for a snake is a huge undertaking, if you're serious about it. As I've already told you... snakes are not toys, to either be cast aside, or sold on to the next uncaring person, once you've become bored with them. Each relocation will cause the animal unecessary stress. Also, before you make your decision, please take into consideration the fact that a Hog Island Boa has a lifespan of around 30 years...!!
