Default Im planning on buying a snake and thinking of building its enclosure my self....

...was planning to use only glass.? would this be a problem for the snake?? its comfort etc..if so what do you think are the necessary sides of the enclosure that need to be made of wood?

Ive always had snakes, and always had glass enclosers, they dont need wood walls, just make sure you put things inside it that arent glass, but yes you can, thats why they sell them for snakes.

lots of americans use glass fish tanks for snakes personally i think this isnt a good practice as snakes tend to get stress from the lack of sercurity offered by a glass tank (they can see all around them and they dont like it) if you do i would suggest getting some kind of background for atleast 3 sides of the enclosure

It might be a problem for you when it comes to heating and humidity but for the snake, as long as you don't leave sharp edges there shouldn't be any problem.
