New 12 week old Shih Tzu puppy keeps barking at my mum?

 New 12 week old Shih Tzu puppy keeps barking at my mum? Everytime my mom walks into the room, my shih tzu puppy, Lola, starts barking at her for no reason. My mom has been good to her since we got her on friday. Lola doesnt mind when my mom goes into her room and feeds her and pets her and carrys her, she actually is quite loving towards her. Its only when my mom walks into the room that Lola barks, but sometimes when she barks she's wagging her tail too. Weve suggested that maybe Lola is trying to tell us shes hungry, needs to go to the toilet etc when she does this but were not sure. She hasnt barked at me once. Please tell me why this is and how it can be solved because I don't want my mom and Lola to develop a bad relationship.      |
