The gentle leader head collar is meant to be used as a training tool, not as the one and only collar you walk him on, and is definitely not a long term "collar". Just wanted to make sure you're aware of that if you hadn't already heard. It is also something that you will have to use fairly gently, as in you cannot yank the lead when your dog is in the halti. When he pulls he gets the correction. How does yours normally walk when in harness as compared to the head collar?

I also have a husky that pulls every which direction in new, unfamiliar places and only use the head collar for those special occasions when he is very difficult to handle (I probably only use it maybe 4 times a year!). Normal every day activities are in harness. When mine gets too rambunctious in his head collar and starts pawing at it, I stop walking, make him stop pawing and only continue when he is behaving nicely.
