| They are so Beautiful dogs. They do need alot of looking after especially walking and running and that's what they were bred for running. If your flat is big enough for when you are at work he/she will be ok but make sure that your room mates do let he/her out to do her business but if no one is in make sure that there is plenty of newspaper for her to do it on. You need to make sure that she/he will get on with your room mates as-well, so what you could do is when you go to choose one see if they would go with you and then when you pick him/her they know they are coming to live with all of you but that he/she is your dog. If it is a puppy you are thinking of getting whoever you get him/her off ask what feeding resume they are on and walks e.t.c and jabs and worming. If he/she has not been wormed make sure you do and at 8 week they will need their jabs. When you do get one try to get them into a routine for example when you have your breakfast she/he has theirs and same with tea and when you have finished breakfast take them for a walk you know where im going. My cousin has 5 huskies 2 are adults and 3 are puppies and the father when he runs just by him-self he can pull a fully grown man of around 12 stone and and woman of 9 stone so you can see that they can also be very strong when they grow up as-well. Hope this helps . J.P |

| Are the roommates willing to help with the dog in the evening when you are not home? If they are willing to let the dog out to potty you should be okay. Keep in mind the husky may not listen to the roommates as they tend to be one person dogs. I fostered one for a short amount of time and some people across town adopted her.... she used to dig out of her kennel and come to my house and refused to listen to them when they called her. That being said if you are willing to put the time and effort into the dog they are a wonderful breed, and you should be fine. It sounds like you did the research so have fun and enjoy your husky. |
