Default Ok I just got a Siberian Husky.....?

and I want to know different ways to exercise him. I take him running a lot, at least three times a day but he always seems full of energy. He is real calm in the house but I want him to be a little more tired. And we play a lot of tug-a-war and tennis balls and stuff. any suggestions? Oh and how much would you say he should eat?

Huskies are always going to have energy, you can't stop them. you seem to be doing just fine exercising him the way you are. the fact that he is calm in the house proves that you are doing fine. these dogs were meant to run all day so unless you run him almost nonstop for pretty much the entire day, then he will have energy.

i can't quite say really how much he should eat because it varies a little but probably no more than an average of 2 bowls a day. my husky will go days where she will eat hardly any of her food and other days where she will make up for the missed food.

Make sure you mentally stimulate your dog. Make it sit or lay down before you throw the ball. Make it do something before you feed it. In other words, make it work for everything it gets from you. That usually settles dogs down.

It's difficult to say how much to feed your dog. So much depends on how much to feed. I have a 75 lb. German Shepherd that gets a lot of exercise and I feed her 1.5 cups of food, 3 times a day.
