are cream colored tabby cats more expensive then orange tabbys?

and why is that?

someone i know is selling the cream colored kittens for more than the orange tabbys. is it because the color is more rare? or what?

is it a particular breed or is it a moggie mix?

if it is a specific registered breed where it might not be a commonly seen color (kind of like there being more red or black chows than blue ones), then it may be worth more due to it being a rare gene color...but if it's just your run-of-the-mill wonderfully mixed breed cat, then i'd say someone's just trying to get an extra buck off gullible people. no one particular color is worth more than another in the average cat. (cream is actually just a variant of orange anyway and is a quite common color.)

Tabby cats are pretty common, I don't think that cream colored tabby cats are more rare than orange ones, but lighter color cats seem to be more desirable. For some reason people always love to see white/light colored cats.

I wouldn't pay for a cat either a tabby or cream-- I have two cats that I picked up off the street (homeless) very young.
I took them immediately to the vet , where they spent the night & checked over. I got their shots had them fixed down the road.. & declawed . my cats do not go outside . You can also look in the newspaper ads someone is always giving away kittens.

It really depends on where you get your cat, some will prefer cream, and make it cost more, and some orange. I don't think it's nice to consider cats inferior or superior to other cats by any reason, by the way. Your choice! Mc837
